9-12-2024 to 9-26-2025             This spider seemed to be the campground pet. Its home was on the outside wall of the bathhouse. Everyone checked on its status every day.                    We were staying at an equestrian site. We saw a variety of horses with their dogs and owners.  Some came for a day. Others stayed over a weekend.           In addition to horses and dogs, we saw a lot of deer. They were by the roads, in the camping area, and near the trails. We also heard coyotes howling in the morning darkness as we had our coffee.          We hiked every afternoon, as usual.  The Randy Bell Scenic Trail (pictured below) was a 2.2 mile concete path around the park. The camping areas were outside the Randy Bell Trail and the Dorba mountain bike trails were inside the trail. Horse trails were all over the place. We...

8-29-2024 to 9-12-2024         Scott summed up our stay here as "two weeks of memories". Every day we reminded each other of things that happened during our dozen or so stays here after we got our first "practice" RV.           We enjoyed getting out on the river and lake. Another day we took the trip down the river and across the lake.           We didn't see as much wildlife as in years past, but the birds were still plentiful and fun to watch.  A blue heron squaked near where we drank coffee outside each morning.  Sort of a rooster equilvalent.           The sunsets weren't as spectacular as we remembered, but maybe it's a seasonal thing....

1-4-2024 to 8-29-2024            We stayed longer at Sun Outdoors Lake Travis than the 3 months I anticipated needing for my knee replacements. But we enjoyed being back in Austin and got a lot of things done. Here are some highlights.           Seeing grandchildren:         Cousins at Sun Outdoors Playground          Parker & friends with us at Inks Lake At Crux Morning routine at the RV Saying goodbye at the airport Coburn boys         Going to Paige and Mathew's June 1st wedding in Wisconsin:           Getting things in the RV fixed or replaced took the most time:           We literally spent months trying to get our old refrigerator fixed, because we had no idea how to get the old one out and a new one in.  Turned out to be pretty easy after taking out the window over the dine...
