Scott summed up our stay here as "two weeks of memories". Every day we reminded each other of things that happened during our dozen or so stays here after we got our first "practice" RV.
We enjoyed getting out on the river and lake. First time in over a year, so a lot of re-remembering how the yakup rack worked. Success getting the paddle boards and kayak off and on the rack. One day we searched for the "rockery", where all the blue herons live. Another day we took the trip down the river and across the lake.
We didn't see as much wildlife as in years past, but the birds were still plentiful and fun to watch. A blue heron squaked near where we drank coffee outside each morning. Sort of a rooster equilvalent.
The sunsets weren't as spectacular as we remembered, but maybe it's a seasonal thing.
We love the hikes here. We picked one of four or five each afternoon. One hike goes by the old graveyard.
This pink bucket covers up a tree stump just outside our door. The stump is big enough to send me sprawling. First time I've fallen in several years. Nothing broken, thank goodness. Makes me want to improve my balance, which I actually work on every day already.
